Wisdom Wednesdays: Using Planned Lessons for CommonTime Artists and Educators
Jul 19, 2022 | Michael Skillern

Greetings, CommonTime Community!

CommonTime is always rolling out new features to improve the arts learning experience. On this week's Wisdom Wednesday, we are covering one of those features. Welcome to the world of Planned Lessons!

Check out the full webinar below:

The new Planned Lesson feature is an opportunity for Teaching Artists to enhance the way that they interact with their learners. As detailed in the webinar, CommonTime Artists can easily create their own Lesson Plans. Just go to the Planned Lessons tab in My Account, and then fill out the appropriate form. After creating a Planned Lesson, it will appear on your Artist profile under the ‘Book a Lesson’ tab. Click here for an example. The Planned Lesson feature is great way to put your learning ideas into print and up for sale. Any lesson idea, unit plan, or activity can become a Planned Lesson.

Lesson Plans make it even easier for learners and educators to book Artists. If you don't want to build a custom lesson, learners and educators can browse through an Artist’s Planned Lesson offerings and choose one that catches your eye. From the perspective of the Educator, Planned Lessons provide a unique opportunity to explore your curricular goals in a quick and easy way. Educators know what they need but are often short on time. So, if bringing in a guest artist is important to you and you know what curricular outcomes you need, consider booking a Planned Lesson!
