Dr. AnnRené Joseph – Nursery Rhymes and Lullabies – Singing A cappella with your Children & Students
Participants will learn how to sing a cappella and spontaneously with their children at all times of the day and night – singing the nursery rhymes and lullabies of their culture and world melodies, and utilizing the pentatonic scale and solfège, and experiencing the techniques musical philosophies of Zoltán Kodály and Carl Orff, where music is a social and cultural experience from birth through life. Children and participants will make connections within and across the arts disciplines of dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, by creating, performing, and responding to cultural songs in any language, and learning to sing spontaneously and a cappella – singing in tune at their starting pitch point, and learning to sing in harmony by ear, and adapted to any age level. Dr. Joseph will lead out the singer within the student and parent, in compelling songs and melodies that are easily memorized and are treasured melodies around the world.
