Welcome back to Wisdom Wednesdays!
This week, Michael gives a brief introduction to translanguaging and how CommonTime relates to it. Translanguaging is simply the acknowledgement and use of a student’s full language profile. Giving bilingual students the opportunity to learn in a bilingual setting can benefit them. In the adult job market, being multilingual is a win for any employee. However, in schools, the idea of developing bilingualism as a skill is still fairly new.
Watch this week’s Wisdom Wednesday below to learn more about what translanguaging is and how you can use CommonTime to support translanguaging in your classrooms!
