Dear Arts Lovers,
Effort matters. When we at CommonTime can help students stay in the arts and make long lasting friendships across cultures, we are supporting the teachers, schools, and parents. Furthermore, these exchanges are uplifting — not just for the schools participating, but for the community that witnesses and receives the outcomes of these exchanges. Those outcomes may be meals shared together, music made together, art created together, or a cultural excursion to learn about the cultural context (history, monuments, or art) of the host school.
We are better together, and bringing artists together brings entire communities together.

What do a trumpet, the human voice, and a typewriter have in common? They all make music, of course! On Monday, July 21st, ACPAF presents Music, Medleys, and Magic, an ensemble showcase of over 200 young musicians from HKCCCU Logos Academy, Hong Kong and Albert Einstein Gymnasium, Böblingen. This showstopping, family-friendly concert will feature music from The Lord of the Rings, The Phantom of the Opera, Swan Lake, The Sound of Music, Trisch Trasch Polka… and a typewriter! If you’re in the Stuttgart area, we’d love for you to join us at Beethoven Saal in Liederhalle for this spectacular event!
Admission for school groups is free! To reserve tickets, reach out to us at info@commontime.online.

We’re excited to introduce the new In-Person Exchange Events page on the CommonTime website!
When your artists need to be inspired, spark their inspiration with an arts exchange event in France, Germany, Italy, or Spain! CommonTime will match your students or professional group with a host group of artist peers in another country. They will perform together, attend workshops, and enjoy cultural activities in a 3- to 10-day exchange, all arranged by CommonTime. You bring the artists, we take care of the rest!
Interested? Visit the new page and fill out the form — let’s build your perfect exchange event together!
It’s time to say “Hallo Blau”!
The students of the International School of Stuttgart Sindelfingen recently celebrated Diversity Day with "Hallo Blau," a special presentation from the Junge Oper im Nord (JOiN), the outreach arm of the Staatsoper Stuttgart. The two performers were Adam Assi, who is Palestinian and played the oud, and Ying-Chen Chuang, who is Taiwanese and played the marimba, drums, and slide whistle. Through a musical meditation on the color blue, we recognized that all colors – and all people – are beautiful!
