Arts Lovers,

Welcome to March! Here in Dubai, the warmer weather is creeping up, and the days are getting longer. As the flowers start to grow, so does CommonTime. Keep your eyes on our events page. There, you will see all of our upcoming events, including our World Theatre Day event on March 27th. Keep your eyes on our blog page. There, we share our Wisdom Wednesday webinar series, and we work to bring the greater arts community together. As the Spring rains bring newness to the world, keep track of our ever growing list of international teaching artists.

To the changing of the seasons and beyond,

Michael Skillern

Co-Founder/Education + Outreach Coordinator, CommonTime

March 27th is World Theatre Day! In celebration of all things theatrical, CommonTime artist and theatre practitioner Sarah Hübner is hosting a workshop titled Let's Play! A joyful introduction to theatre improvisation on Monday, March 27th. This workshop is a fun and supportive adventure into the magic of theatre improvisation. Play a series of games and scenes in which you will learn about positive game play and being creative together. Expect to laugh, play, and learn a lot!

On Sunday, February 26th, CommonTime Founder Christine Matovich held a workshop on Translanguaging in the Arts Classroom! Translanguaging is the practice of using multiple languages in one classroom to be inclusive of your students’ full language profiles. In this event, Christine explored tips and tricks for successful translanguaging, shared classroom experiences, and more. If you missed it, don’t worry!
