Hello! Welcome to my Common Time page.
As a professional flutist, I am very passionate about music being a creative outlet for both the player and the audience. I do my best to achieve this in every performance I encounter, it is my number one goal as a performer.
This passion carries over to my teaching style. I aim for students to have fun and use music as a creative outlet to express themselves, all the while learning the ins and outs of music making on the flute. In addition to expressiveness, it is my belief that working on tone, technique and style are the trifecta of great flute playing. I like to work with each student on their personal goals and individual needs to make some beautiful music.
I am a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I received my Masters of Music in Flute Performance, and I additionally received my Bachelor’s of Music in Flute Performance from Wright State University in 2019. I am also the co-founder of the 2+1 Trio, which is an active woodwind trio based in Greensboro North Carolina.

The Voodoo Trio put on a wonderful performance! They played a few pieces all together, and each member performed a solo piece as well. At the end of their show, they had a Q&A where they answered questions from the audience. A great show! Very much looking forward to their future performances!
