"Play touches and stimulates vitality, awakening the whole person – mind, body, intelligence and creativity." (Viola Spolin)
I am a passionate theatre practitioner, performer and educator . . . and I love improvisational theatre!
I love impro because it is magical and anyone can do it. It is rewarding on so many levels. For example, impro can help you strengthen your story-telling, acting and presentation skills; grow your creativity; make you a better team player; help you connect more easily with other people; boost your self-confidence and raise your happiness level.
As an artist and educator, my mission is to help people express themselves more freely and help them find their own creative voices so that they can lead more engaged and fulfilling lives and contribute positively to our globalized world.
I founded, performed and directed theatre companies in Europe, the U.S. and China. All along, I have also been teaching and facilitating theatre courses and curricula to people of all age groups since 2000.
Driven by my curiosity, I hold several degrees including a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Theatre Making and teaching degrees from universities in the U.K., the U.S. and Germany.
My areas of particular interest and expertise include theatre improvisation, Theatre of the Oppressed/Forum Theatre, devised theatre and applied theatre.
When I’m not in a theatre space or facilitating, you can find me playing basketball, reading novels, playing board games with friends and strolling through nature.
"Everyone can act. Everyone can improvise. Anyone who wishes to can play in the theatre.“ (Viola Spolin)
