I love playing the cello, a very physical and expressive instrument. I am a busy Boston-based freelance cellist and also love teaching. Colleagues often remark on my unique, open sound and natural, relaxed and varied vibrato. I am passionate about creating a healthy and fluid technique for my students and am constantly searching for new ideas, which of course I add to my own bag of tricks! I enjoy playing many different kinds of music, ranging from classical (my primary training) to Non- classical and world music. My trio Terzetto with Grammy and Emmy winning guitarist Claudio Ragazzi and amazing pianist Nando Michelin (both Berklee College of Music faculty)has recently completed a Pair of Midwest concerts and have future bookings as well. This ensemble challenges me with difficult repertoire and many styles of improvisation. I love working with them. An example if my varied work in Boston ranged last week from Symphony New Hampshire's James Bond film music to the lovely chamber music version of the Faure Requiem with Masterworks Chorale in Boston.
