Do you feel drawn to play the piano, make all kinds of sounds and would love to discover more about how does it all work? Get ready because together we will not only read and play but also write music of our own. At the end of this course you will learn the basics of elementary piano playing, rhythm and sight-reading and how to implement musical improvisation to your daily practice and make it creative fun experience! All the while improving your piano technique, broadening knowledge of music and its workings and sharing your love for music with others. Week 1-3: we will learn about basic piano geography and music improvisation as a tool to broaden our technical skillset Week 4: we will learn how to feel the rhythm and incorporate it within the practice Week 5-6: we will work on the sight-reading Week 7: we will learn how to use dynamics and introduce the bass clef Week 8: we will introduce the sharps and flats of the music and how to incorporate them Week 9-10: we will be incorporating the sharps within the G major scale and deepening technicality Week 11: we will go through the chords and their inversions and relations Week 12: we will learn about the harmonical functions Week 13-14: we will deepen the learning of bass clef workings Week 15: we will investigate how to put everything we've learnt so far into phrasing Week 16: we will put it all together in our works for our classmates and families Materials: For this course piano/keyboard will be required just as much as curiosity about the world of music.
